RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver curriculum, monitor, and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.Effective management of the classroom and/or laboratory.Promote and engage in student recruitment, retention and completion goals fostering a culture of professionalism and inclusive learning.Monitor and assess student learning outcomes and provide timely and frequent feedback to students on academic performance.Participate in advisory and/or institutional committees.Maintain certification, continue professional development and stay current in field and/or discipline.INSTRUCTION PROGRAM SPECIFICDevelop relationships with business and industry.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THE POSITION MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in any field, EMS Instructor II certification AND 2 years (4000 hours) of occupational experience as a licensed Paramedic.ORAssociate Degree in any field, EMS Instructor II certification AND 4 years (8000 hours) of occupational experience as a licensed Paramedic.OR No degree, EMS Instructor II certification AND 7 years (14,000 hours) of occupational experience as a Paramedic.PLUSCurrent Paramedic WI State license Preferred Current BLS Instructor (American Heart Association) Current ACLS Instructor (American Heart Association) Current PALS Instructor (American Heart Association)*Included in the above experience, at least 2,000 hours of demonstrated relevant occupational experience must be within the last five years OR at least 2 years of full-time (8 semesters of part-time) post secondary teaching experience in the occupational field must be within the last five years.Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Working experience with computer software systems.Ability to work with a diverse group of related students.Skilled in teaching a wide range of related subjects.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Effective problem solving skills.Flexible schedule to accommodate day, evening and weekend students SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION DIVISION/LOCATION: Protective and Human Services/BurlingtonCOMP GRADE: IFLSA DESIGNATION: Exempt SEMESTERS: Spring/ Summer/ FallCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
