Be part of a transformative institution, dedicated to making a positive impact in our community and the lives of our students. Waubonsee Community College promotes diversity in faculty, staff, and student recruitment and is committed to hiring and retaining exceptional faculty and staff who are committed to the college’s culture of collaboration, professional growth and student success. Your future starts here – join us today!Adjunct Faculty are responsible for providing instruction and formatively and summatively assessing student learning.  This position requires a professional with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively use instructional and classroom technology to enhance teaching and learning.Reporting to the Dean, Adjunct Faculty prepare course syllabi and design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to address different learning styles and ensure that students successfully meet the course objectives and outcomes.  They also incorporate learning centered principles and concepts and motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational experience. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for student evaluation and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Successful Adjunct Faculty employ a holistic approach to student success, bring passion and enthusiasm to the classroom, and are collaborative with students and colleagues. They work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities.
