Endocrinology Physician at BAS Healthcare

Location: Located in the Upper Midwest, Waterloo is the major metro of the Cedar Valley Region of Northeast Iowa. Facility: A 366-bed, full-service, multi-specialty hospital providing acute, sub-acute and outpatient health care. Opportunity: No call! Clinic only Monday-Friday, 6+ month assignment 8a-5p, 1 hour unpaid lunch Need to be able to see new patients and follow ups At least 12 patients per day Treatments required: full spectrum on endocrinology. We also do bone density in this clinic. We do have a stand along cancer treatment center within a few blocks, so cancer patients can be referred there for specific cancer treatments, but would follow up with endo for ongoing care. Must be willing to prescribe anti-obesity meds (phentermine, Topamax, wegovy, etc) along with the following patients (via labs an/or visits) for drugs such as methimazole and levothyroxine. A lot of diabetic patients. We have diabetic educators that can assist with education and sensor downloads.
