Completion of a Surgical Tech or Endoscopy Tech program preferred.Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or SGNA Associate (GTS) preferredCertification/LicensureNone requiredExperiencePrevious experience in a hospital setting or endoscopy suite is preferred particularly with ERCP or Bronchoscopy assistance.Healthcare- - previous Experience - minimum 2 years REQUIREDStatus: Full-timeScheduled Weekly Hours: (36)Shift:Full-Time Days (0) Call:Rotating Call Required (Details to be discussed during interview)This is an excellent opportunity for a technician looking to expand their skill set with advanced GI and Pulmonary procedures in a fast-paced collaborative environment.Clinical Scope & ProceduresOur unit performs a mix of routine diagnostic and advanced interventional procedures including:Gastrointestinal:Diagnostic EGDs and Colonoscopies Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) ERCP Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR).Pulmonary:Diagnostic Bronchoscopies Navigational Bronchoscopy and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).Key ResponsibilitiesIntra-Procedural Assistance:Assist physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Anticipate the needs of the proceduralist handle specimens and manage complex equipment setup.Scope Reprocessing:Perform manual cleaning and high-level disinfection (HLD) of flexible endoscopes strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards.Room Turnover:Ensure procedure rooms are cleaned stocked and set up efficiently between cases to maintain department flow.Equipment Maintenance:Perform leak testing and visual inspection of scopes; troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.Job responsibilities:Assists with the patient care in the Endoscopy Department. Is familiar with gastrointestinal and pulmonary diseases and assists during endoscopic procedures. Responsible for the preparation maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies. Functions under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.Schedule & Call RequirementsStandard Hours:07:00 AM 03:30 PM Monday through Friday.On-Call:Rotating call is required to cover emergencies outside of standard hours.
