The Natural Gas Engineer will be responsible for technical services related to pipeline engineering compliance operation and construction activities for natural gas facilities and will encompass various aspects of natural gas engineering compliance operation and maintenance requirements.Incumbents serves as an Essential employee which means that the incumbent is required to work when the City is closed due to public emergencies critical or hazardous conditions or inclement weather.Duties include but are not limited toManaging the engineering design process including reviewing and analyzing detailed plan designs/technical studies and processing applications/permits change orders and other documentation for proposed development or improvement projects.Performing engineering activities relative to the design operation and maintenance of company pipeline and related natural gas facilities.Conducts engineering investigations/studies. Perform inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications applicable codes and other regulations.Developing reviewing and updating plans manuals forms compliance records and documentation.Evaluates detailed plans specifications and standards for projects; identifies potential conflicts with plans and makes necessary field adjustments upon investigation or inspection.Maintains logs/records and permits; tracks systems and specialized databases and enters data. While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is regularly required to finger (pick pinch type or otherwise work primarily with fingers) talk see hear and use substantial repetitive motions of the wrists hands and fingers.
