The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of entry-level engineering and administrative duties. Assignments include the following departments: Operations Estimating Survey Scheduling and Engineering which will provide exposure to multiple components of the business.Functional Areas of Responsibility:Project ControlsSchedulingSurveyingEngineeringEstimatingCompliance with company policies and proceduresSpecific Duties and Responsibilities:Project ControlsAssist the General Controls Manager with the coordination of training activities and compliance activities for the Project Controls DepartmentAid in the development and presentation of training materialsAid in the update of TAW2 policies and proceduresPerform TAW2 compliance functions for policy complianceAssist project teams with TAW2 policy complianceMay be assigned any of the construction administration duties as described for a Field EngineerSchedulingAssist in creating project and bid schedulesUpdate project schedulesEarned Value Metric updatesSurveyingPlan reading and survey calculationsCompetency in use of company surveying equipmentEstablishment of horizontal and vertical controlEngineeringPerform various tasks to support field operationsDuties include: earthwork calculations shop drawing review basic design of formwork and false work systemsJobsite planning and layout for logistics and hoistingCAD draftingPerform engineering calculations and designEstimatingQuantity surveysEvaluation of subcontractor and vendor bidsPricing of certain components of an estimateSolicitation of subcontractor and vendor bid proposalsSite reviewsTechnicalRead and interpret owners drawings and specifications ensuring that ABR staff and subcontractors understand all the specific job requirementsDemonstrated collegiate level computer skills mathematics communication skills and technical writing with an aptitude for mastering the additional skills of the position requirementsBasic understanding of engineering principles of heavy civil highway constructionOtherOther duties as assignedQualifications:New/recent college graduate (May 2025 December 2025)Able to prioritize tasks and projects effectively with excellent time management organization and prioritization skills to accomplish desired resultsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be detail-oriented able to multi-task and meet critical deadlinesRequirements:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent preferred but may be substituted by experienceProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel)Applicants must be legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States.
