Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: About UsWe are seeking a motivated Engineer Intern (EI) to join our multi-disciplinary team in Louisiana. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering design and project management. Youll assist in preparing reports, specifications, plans, permit applications, and construction schedules, while supporting client communications and contributing to quality control efforts.Heres What Youll Be DoingProvide general, entry-level support to the engineering department.Preparing construction cost estimates, schedules, reports, and project design calculations.Ensures compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, and areas.Preparing design plans and specifications for projects.Evaluate the physical conditions of the worksite to aid in design plans.Conduct assessments of damage at worksites.Use of CAD and other design software to develop design documents.Assisting in construction administration duties for projects under construction.Heres What You NeedEducationBachelors degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or other relevant disciplines.Certification and License(s)Licensed Engineer Intern in the State of LouisianaValid drivers licenseExperienceNo experience required.SupervisionWork requires the occasional direction of helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, or temporary employees.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to identify and solve complex problems.Ability to be both creative and analytical.Ability to visit sites during design and/or construction to observe and record applicable information needed.Ability to acclimate to project management software or related software.Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analyzation software.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Compensation and BenefitsYour talent, skills, and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.Equal Opportunity EmployerRoyal Engineers and Consultants, LLC, is an equal opportunity employer.
