This position focuses on developing new products as well as sustaining efforts for existing products to support production and manufacturing engineering teams. This position can involve travel to sites for the support of new and existing products as well as direct interface with customers.Key ResponsibilitiesNPI projectsDesign develop and document (using 3D CAD software) new components and modulesSupport additional engineering activities related to productionFabricate and assemble prototype components and modulesDevelop design verification test methodsConduct environmental and/or regulatory testingWrite test reportsItem registrations in PDM and ERP systems including the creation of configuration matrices BoMs ERs and ECOsAssist with design reviewsSustaining workDesign develop and document (using 3D CAD software) improvements to existing components and modulesFabricate and assemble prototype components and modulesDevelop design verification test methodsConduct environmental and/or regulatory testingWrite test reportsItem registrations in PDM and ERP systems including the creation of configuration matrices BoMs ERs and ECOsSupport the operations team in the manufacture and shipment of productsSupport field service teams in troubleshooting issues at customer sitesSupport customer service teams in response to customer inquiriesCandidate Experience and QualificationBS in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering)3-5 years of experience in mechanical designKnowledge of:Fabricated and formed sheet metal partsFluid handling components made from cast metal (sand cast and die cast aluminum and grey iron)Injection molded plastic and elastomeric partsMachined aluminum steel and plastic partsFluid handling systemsSolidWorks CAD systemBeneficial But Not RequiredProficiency in SolidWorks CAD systemProficiency in MS Office applications (Excel Word and PowerPoint)xperience working in a manufacturing environmentExperience working in experimental/machine shopsExperience working on cross-functional design teamsEssential FunctionsCustomer-centric mindsetTechnology leadership mindsetAbility to work both individually and in a teamAbility to work with limited direction to attain project goals according to set timelinesWork Arrangement : HybridBonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.We consider several job-related non-discriminatory factors when determining the pay rate for a position including but not limited to the positions responsibilities a candidates work experience a candidates education/training the positions location and the key skills needed for the position.
