Today our cloud-based calculators power 50000 projects a year across the Americas and Australia with standards bodies and manufacturers partnering with us to modernize how engineering decisions are made.And were just getting started.Role OverviewThis is a high-impact senior leadership role overseeing our engineering content organization the team responsible for building scaling and validating the structural and design calculations that fuel our platform.This is not a software development role. Instead you will lead the engineering leaders and technical teams who use our proprietary Calculator Builder to encode structural standards design methods and best practices into scalable validated tools without writing software.This is our first manager-of-managers hire in engineering. You will directly influence team structure delivery velocity throughput systems quality standards and organizational scaling.You will also be a key member of the leadership team reporting directly to the CEO.What You Will DoLeadership & People ManagementLead and mentor Group Engineering Managers who oversee engineering teams and technical leads.Foster a culture of accountability ownership growth and high performance.Develop leaders within the team and build strong succession pathways.Scale a distributed engineering organization while maintaining cohesion and quality.Process Systems & DeliveryOwn throughput forecasting and engineering KPIs (e.g. calculators/features per group).Build delivery systems processes and metrics that enable predictable scalable output.Design onboarding QA and validation frameworks that uphold the companys high quality bar.Remove bottlenecks; partner with Product and Development teams to drive workflow and tooling improvements.Ensure effective use of the proprietary Calculator Builder to codify engineering standards into scalable tools.Strategy & ScalingEnsure unit economics of engineering content remain sustainable as the company grows.Align engineering delivery with broader company growth objectives and roadmap priorities.Explore and manage relationships with external engineering partners to expand capacity.Help shape long-term strategy for team structure product velocity and content expansion.Stakeholder & Executive AlignmentPartner closely with Product Sales Marketing and Customer Success to ensure engineering output supports market and customer needs.Present engineering P&L KPIs forecasts and delivery outcomes to executives and the board.Negotiate with external vendors ensuring accountability around quality and timelines.What Were Looking ForLeadership Experience1020 years in engineering leadership roles including experience managing managers.Demonstrated ownership of KPIs budgets P&L or team-level financial outcomes.Experience re-engineering processes and scaling delivery teams across multiple locations.Strong people leadership skills: able to coach mentor and elevate managers and engineers.Comfortable in high-growth SaaS consulting or startup environments.Technical BackgroundStructural or civil engineering background is preferred but candidates from adjacent technical verticals (product engineering consulting technical delivery) are welcome.Experience working with engineering standards validation frameworks or technical QA is highly valued.MindsetSystems thinker with an operational mindset.A builder of process culture and long-term organizational capability.Comfortable making decisions with clarity and confidence in ambiguous fast-moving environments.Why Join UsLead and scale a globally distributed engineering team with a major hub in Bogotá.Play a central role in shaping a platform used daily by thousands of engineers.Competitive compensation plus equity directly participate in the upside you help create.Executive-level visibility and influence over long-term company direction.Be part of a mission-driven company modernizing how engineers design the built world.Role DetailsLocation: Bogotá Colombia (preferred) or Toronto CanadaWork Model: Hybrid 3 days in-office 2 days from homeOffice: 15-minute walk from the Calle 127 TransMilenio stationContract: Full-time Contrato a término indefinido with full Colombian benefitsFlexibility: Very flexible for short-term arrangements if you need to be away from BogotáRequired Experience:Director Key Skills Go,Lean,Management Experience,React,Node.js,Operations Management,Project Management,Research & Development,Software Development,Team Management,GraphQL,Leadership Experience Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
