Our team of innovators in Goleta, CA are a leading developer and provider of satellite mechanisms, deployable structures and booms and deployable solar array systems to the global space market. The team is revolutionizing spaceflight and are currently being utilized on missions with NASA, the Department of Defense, and commercial space companies. With many more exciting projects on the horizon our team could use your curiosity, passion, talent and experience to help us Build Above. We have current opportunities for Engineering Interns for Summer 2026. We're looking for college students, who are working on a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial, Systems or Aerospace Engineering (Bachelor's, or Master's) or related STEM fields, to help participate in developing breakthrough technologies such as deployable solar array systems, deployable structural & mechanical systems and supporting subsystems. We will provide you with an internship that will last approximately 12 weeks, during which you will be performing hands-on meaningful projects aligned with our company goals and objectives. This opportunity will fully immerse you in our technology and culture for an invaluable and rewarding experience. We have a diverse environment and a team of passionate and dedicated people that enjoy sharing their knowledge. Responsibilities: Work on various project tasks under direction of senior engineering staff and mentors in Deployable Solar Arrays, Structures and Mechanisms.Apply engineering principles in areas of design, analysis, manufacturing, quality, and test.Generate technical documentation, reporting and presentations of design, test, and analysis results.Ideal Experience:Minimum of third year in an undergraduate engineering degree program. Preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial, Systems or Aerospace Engineering related STEM fieldsHands-on engineering experience through internships, school projects, or teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skillsVigorous work ethic and high-performance standardsCompetent with 3D CAD modeling, SolidWorks preferredProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)US citizenship or US Person as defined by ITAR regulationsDesired Skills:Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals Ability to work on their own initiative and prioritize tasking to fit within the business goalsAbility to ask questionsAbility to thrive in team-based settings Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environmentInterest in analytical thinking and creative problem solvingStrong organizational skills Grow with us as we innovate the next generation capabilities for a new era of space exploration!
