As the Engineering Manager you will lead the development and execution of our Aftermarket processes. The Engineering Manager will have responsibilities for leading a team of engineers and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.YOUR IMPACTResearch and formulate plans to accomplish major projects including manpower estimates cost estimates and work measuring devices such as milestones or critical path charts.Monitor progress of major projects and make recommendations when needed including acquisition of capital equipmentDevelop proposals for improvementsSupport cost estimate activities for both new and existing programs using data driven analysisResearch and make recommendations on make or buy productsUnderstand current safety and OSHA requirements pertaining to maintenance operations and incorporate ergonomics into safety productivity and performancePlan schedule and prioritize work to meet established deadlinesManage and direct a team including but not limited to R & M Engineers Configuration Analysts Technical Leads and Technicians focused on Service BOM Level of repair analysis Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis Troubleshooting and maintenance work package development and technical manual validationDevelop implement and achieve safety quality productivity and efficiency standards ensuring continuously improving operationsProvide status reporting on safety budget staffing volume and performance measures to ensure effective communication and analysisPlay an active role in long range financial forecasting specifically around planning the resource needs of the teamAlways promote a healthy and high morale work environmentEngage motivate and inspire others through trust creditability and collaborationOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering7-10 years of Reliability and Maintainability Mechanical Engineering Operations Engineering or related field3-5 years minimum leading a Team of direct reportsHeavy industrial or automotive industry experienceDemonstrated proficiency in capacity/resource planning and project-based quotingDemonstrated proficiency in value-stream mapping problem solving and process improvementDemonstrated experience leading medium and large-scale operations based on lean principlesDemonstrated proficiency in lean based process design and working with complex data setsSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONSCDRL (Contract data requirement list) development and submissions MIL-standards Government contracts (preferred)PowerlogJ Microsoft Access JD Edwards MRP System or other database or data mining softwares (preferred)Familiarity with Compass (used for LORA) and WRR (Windchill Risk and Reliability) (preferred)Previous experience with Catia Creo and Windchill is preferredWHY OSHKOSHMoving the future forward is our priority and this includes your future. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
