We are seeking dynamic candidates with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, bioprocess engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field. We especially encourage candidates whose expertise aligns with Departmental strengths and cross-cutting initiatives of the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing with other colleges across campus that focus on healthcare. Areas for broad synergy include neuroscience, biomaterials, and biosensing research. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an internationally recognized, externally funded research program, and excel in teaching and mentorship.Key Responsibilities· Develop and lead an externally funded research program in biomedical engineering or related fields.· Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biomedical engineering.· Mentor students at all levels, from undergraduate to PhD.· Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams within the College and University.· Contribute to departmental, college, and university service.Qualifications· Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, bioprocess engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field by the start date.· Assistant- Potential for excellence in teaching and research.· For Associate or Full Professor: Demonstrated record of teaching and research accomplishments consistent with the university’s policy for appointments at those ranks.· Expertise that aligns with the Department’s core strengths and university-wide initiatives is highly desirable.Preferred Qualifications· Experience in interdisciplinary and collaborative research initiatives.· Record of developing innovative research programs and securing external funding.· Background in neuroscience, biomaterials, or biosensing.Application Process:Interested applicants should submit the following:- Cover letter outlining qualifications and research interests.- Curriculum vitae.- Research statement (2-3 pages).- Teaching statement (1-2 pages).- Names and contact information for at least three references.Review of applications will begin on January 10, 2026 and continue until the open position(s) are filled.
