Industrial Engineering Capital Projects Manager

Oxford Solutions is working with a client in the industrial materials and mineral production industry to hire an Industrial Engineering Capital Projects Manager. This role will support capital improvement and major maintenance projects across industrial operations, including engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, and closeout.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced project engineering or capital projects professional who can manage multiple projects, partner with operations teams, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within scope, schedule, cost, and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate assigned capital and major maintenance projects from initiation through closeout
  • Work with operations leadership to develop project scope, budgets, schedules, and execution plans
  • Support CAPEX planning by identifying project needs, estimating costs, and aligning project priorities with operational goals
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, and commissioning activities
  • Ensure project plans align with plant operations, maintenance schedules, outages, and production constraints
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Provide project management guidance and technical expertise throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Lead project communication with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and external partners
  • Track project progress, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Ensure all project work complies with company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and applicable industry requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 8+ years of project engineering or project management experience in an industrial environment
  • Experience managing capital projects, major maintenance projects, or plant-based engineering initiatives
  • Ability to execute projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Strong engineering, problem-solving, and project planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, vendors, and contractors
  • Demonstrated teamwork, maturity, and strong work ethic
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to multiple locations in the U.S. and Canada, with possible international travel
