SummaryAbout the Role:Are you a technically minded librarian/archivist interested in the history of infrastructure in Western Washington This position is an opportunity to work on a fun and collaborative team who is dedicated to water quality process improvement and producing quality designs to improve the Wastewater Treatment Divisions (WTD) Conveyance and Treatment Systems.We are looking for a librarian/archivist who can manage our Engineering Content Management System (ECMS) which includes cataloging engineering drawings transferring record drawings into the ECMS database for operations incorporation into master drawings managing the database and providing customer support to internal and external requests for engineering drawings. This role will help ensure WTD has accurate records of built infrastructure.This position follows a hybrid work model blending remote and in-person work.About the Team:The King County Wastewater Treatment Division is responsible for centralized wastewater treatment for all of King County and conveying sewage from Cities and Sewer Districts in King County to our regional treatment plants. This position will be in our Engineering and Technical Resources Unit who are a fun and talented group of engineers technical professionals and designers who work to accomplish our Capital Improvement Program. This position will also collaborate with our Plant Engineering staff who maintain our Masters/ Facility Drawings.Our work environment allows a good work-life balance for our staff. Enjoy training comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.Job DutiesWhat YouWillBe Doing:Serve as the Administrator of the Engineering and Technical Resources digital engineering project collection stored in ECMS.Provide assistance to internal and external customers researching engineering records.Help manage ECMS an on-line document management system that holds about 100000individual records which consist of design contract and facility drawings documenting various types of wastewater infrastructure.Develop policies and procedures for managing digitizing and retrieving these records.Work collaboratively with Engineers and Designers to manage engineering records. Jackson St Seattle WA 98104additional onsite locations may include: West Point Treatment Plant 1400 Discovery Park Blvd. Seattle South Treatment Plant 1200 Monster Road S.W. Renton Brightwater Treatment Plant 22505 State Route 9 S.E. Woodinville.Requirement:Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.
