Position DescriptionThis role is as an Engineer/Engineering Technologist 1 a full-time position with TechSource and working with our client, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). We have a decades long relationship with LANL and are the prime company supporting the Scorpius project in Los Alamos, NM! In this role, you will support the construction, assembly, and integration of components for the Scorpius linear induction electron accelerator, which is part of subcritical experiment diagnostics at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and leading assembly tasks for key accelerator components (e.g., IVA, SAC assemblies, LRU-8), ensuring quality control, and collaborating with engineers and technicians. Key Responsibilities:Coordinate fabrication, assembly, and testing of accelerator componentsLead assembly teams and help train personnelSupport maintenance and system integration effortsWork closely with technical teams across multiple national labs and sitesEnsure compliance with quality and safety standardsBachelor's in Engineering Technology, Science, Math, or related field5 years' of relevant experience (or equivalent)Basic knowledge of GD&T and experience with mechanical assemblyFamiliarity with lab test equipment and basic shop tools Desired Qualifications:Familiarity with electron beam accelerator systemsExperience interpreting technical drawings and disciplined operations
