Job Description
Looking for a hands-on role where every day is different Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and play a vital part in creating a top-tier guest experience. From fixing HVAC and plumbing issues to keeping pools sparkling and interiors looking sharp youll be the go-to expert for keeping our resort in peak condition. If you take pride in your work love solving problems and enjoy working in a dynamic resort environment wed love to have you on board!As an Maintenance Technician II you will: Perform engineering projects guest calls blitzes and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.Troubleshoot plumbing issues make repairs and replace fixtures and piping as needed.Diagnose replace and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts.Troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures.Understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics.Repair interior and exterior walls wall coverings and ceilings including texturing painting and caulking.Repair or replace tiles grout vinyl and carpet as required.Work with pools spas and water features including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks.Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work.Operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems).Communicate professionally through radios phones emails and verbal interactions.Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management.Safely use hand tools power tools and battery-powered tools required for the job.Work using ladders scaffolding lifts and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).Follow safety guidelines and practices.Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property.Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution.Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance attire and behavior.Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.This individual must possess and adhere to the following core values:Integrity Doing the right thing when no one is looking.Passion Creating a positive impact.Work Ethic Taking pride in your work.Qualifications : High school diploma required.Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort.Written and verbal communication in English is expected.Must be self-motivated detail-oriented and able to work with enthusiasm and focus.Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues.Ability to be versatile work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Regularly the team member must lift move push or pull up to 50 pounds.Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.Additional Information : Why WestgateComprehensive health benefits medical dental and visionPaid Time Off (PTO) vacation sick and personalPaid Holidays401K with generous company matchGet access to your pay as you need it with our Daily Pay benefitFamily benefits including pregnancy and parental leave and adoption assistanceWellness ProgramsFlexible Spending AccountsTuition AssistanceMilitary LeaveEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Life Disability Accident Critical Illness & Hospital InsurancePet InsuranceExclusive discounts for Team Member (i.e. hotels cruise resorts restaurants entertainment etc.) Advancement & development opportunitiesCommunity Involvement Programs Westgate Resorts is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
