Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSOL Engineering Services, LLC is an engineering and technical services provider, with over 20 years of engineering and consulting experience. SOL Engineering Services, LLC is searching for an Engineering Technician III with a strong background as a heavy equipment operator and experience with instrumentation systems to conduct surveys. Requirements Must be certified to operate heavy equipment such as a: backhoe, dozer, track hoe, excavator, forklift, graders, and front loaders Must be a U.S. citizenAble to pass a background investigation (financial and criminal) Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearanceValid driver’s licenseExperience with instrumentation systems and the ability to conduct detailed surveys Ability to emplace, spread, and compact soilPerform fine grading and retrograde the area Examine site conditions and conduct soil analyses Obtain measurements of soil cross sections and input into electronic format Document results via photographs, physical survey, and/or in a field book Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication Presentation skills Apply basic analytical skills, scientific methods, or operational processes to perform tasks Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed Work will be performed outsideMinimal travel required QualificationsAssociate degree in a related technical field Two years related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeMinimum of three years operating heavy equipmentCrane operator license and/or experience is preferredWe offer a competitive salary, health benefits and paid vacation.Veterans, HUBZone residents, and individuals of HUD-assisted (Section 3) and Section 8 housing programs are encouraged to apply.SOL Engineering Services, LLC provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics."
