We at Leggett & Platt Inc. are searching for an Engineering Technician within our Product Development Engineering team to help support our Home Furniture Components business. Our Home Furniture business brings an intense focus on the customer innovation world-class manufacturing capabilities and a global footprint together to create full package solutions for the industry. We need the best people on our team to support our strategy and your work will ensure people around the world have a little more comfort in their lives.As an Engineering Technician you will have the opportunity to support the design integration and validation of new product development and released product support. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our speed to market customer responsiveness and incremental revenue for trendsetter customers.The team you will be working with is collaborative hands-on and focused on innovation. We value technical curiosity attention to detail and a growth mindset.So what will you be doing as an Engineering TechnicianAssisting engineers with product design CAD support and engineering documentationSupporting prototype builds and sample quality controlCoordinating prototype shipping and logisticsParticipating in product validation and testing activitiesCollecting and communicating technical data across teamsTo be successful in this role youll need:Associates degree in Mechanical Technology preferred; relevant experience considered1 year of technician experience preferredAbility to machine fabricate and solder electrical componentsStrong communication skills and ability to work independentlyExperience with SolidWorks Zoho Project Management MS Office Suite and CAD toolsAbility to support prototyping testing and validation processesUnderstanding of technical system requirements and design criteriaWritten and verbal English language skillsCommitment to our People First culture and continuous improvementThings we consider a plus:Experience with mechanical and electrical fabrication toolsAbility to travel up to 10% domestically and internationallyWhat to Do NextNow that youve had a chance to learn more about us what are you waiting for!
