Job Details Methodist University Location - Fayetteville NC Full Time StaffDescription Job Summary:To perform a variety of complex and responsible clerical duties for assigned areas of responsibilities; to provide a variety of detailed information to students parents faculty and staff; to maintain complex and detailed records and files related to assigned areas of responsibility; and assist with special projects. This position reports to the Director of Global Education and Enrollment OperationsJob Duties:Duties as assigned may include but are not limited to the following:Answer enrollment related calls and transfer to other University departments as needed. Provide information and assistance to callersGreet current and prospective students and their families as they arrive in Stout Hall directing them to the appropriate office or Enrollment personnelSort and distribute mail to appropriate offices in Stout Hall Verify and input a variety of information into the student information system including inputting inquiries and providing support for application processingPerform assigned daily procedures communications to prospective students utilizing the student information systemPerform general clerical work including filing scheduling appointments duplication and processing of informationResearch problems and discrepancies in student records applications transcripts and standardized test scoresInterpret University policies procedures rules and regulations in response to inquires and concerns; refer inquires and concerns to appropriate personnelHelp to organize and maintain record and application filing systemsBe available for weekend duty hours as neededPerform related duties as assignedQualifications Education & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred. 1-3 years of recent administrative experience preferably in a University setting.Knowledge of:Office procedures methods and word processing equipment.Methodist and procedure for operating computers and related equipment including specific operating systems and appropriate commands.Business letter writing and basic report preparation.Principles and procedures of basic recordkeeping.Laws rules and regulations pertaining to assigned area of responsibility including releasing confidential student information and processing mail.Ability to:Explain and apply University policies procedures rules and regulations.Type at a speed necessary for successful job performance.Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.Type at a speed necessary for successful job performance.Maintain detailed records and files.Work independently in the absence of supervision.Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
