Global Payments seeking a visionary Enterprise Data Architect to lead the strategic direction and architecture of our enterprise data landscape. This role sits at the heart of Global Payments transformation agenda ensuring that our data architecture not only enables our current operations but unlocks future growth innovation and competitive advantage.In this role youll be an integral member of the enterprise architecture team to define and deliver a scalable domain-aligned and product-centric data architecture. You will champion a federated approach to data governance champion data product ownership across domains and serve as a key driver of Global Payments evolution into a data-driven enterprise.The role will involve collaborating with Business Technology Engineering and internal and external IT stakeholders at all levels to ensure the enterprise data strategy and associated implementation is adding value to the business.Responsibilities:Set the strategy for data architecture to support the Business and IT strategies and maintaining the data architecture principlesDevelop relationships within the lines of business becoming a trusted partner demonstrating the value of data architecture being part of the development cycle including considerations for use in analytics and AI downstreamDefine target transition data architectures and roadmap to realise our future state data architectureCreate the data architecture documents and templates for change initiatives and supporting solution architects to completeBuild a framework of principles to ensure data integrity across the businessLead data architecture forums and provide subject matter expert input to architecture decisionsDocument the detailed holistic physical data architecture for both current and target stateManage holistic roadmap of architecture change initiatives across Global Payments coordinating requirements across different initiativesProvide technical expertise for change initiatives working with engineering teams and business product ownersDefine frameworks for decentralized data product ownership across business domainsAlign the data architecture strategy to AI/ML enablementmodel observability feature stores and ethical AI guardrailsBe a key stakeholder and advisor in all strategic data initiatives and ensure alignment to the enterprise wide data strategyBuild and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artifactsProvide technical oversight to Engineers in creating business driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standardsBe an advocate of data security principles and ensure appropriate security and compliance practices are embedded in any data strategyDevelop key performance measures for data integration and qualityEvaluate and recommend enterprise data technologies platforms and solutions to enhance our data capabilitiesSupport digital transformation efforts by identifying and promoting emerging technologies that drive business valueSupport M&A technology integration efforts by assessing acquired data architectures and recommending alignment strategiesDoes this sound like you:Experience of creating and implementing data strategies that align with business objectivesExtensive experience in architecting and implementing enterprise data warehouse Master data Management data integration BI & analytics content management and data management platformsA comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation (extract transform and load) processes and the supporting technologies such as Google BigQuery Snowflake Iceberg Data Lake other analytics productsData management and reporting technologies predictive analytics data visualization and unstructured dataExperience of mapping key enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applicationsEstablished experience delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end usersA strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage concepts and implementationsExposure to a variety of programming languages and advanced technologies associated with big data AI IoT and the cloudExtensive experience of developing progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support and SDLC processesExcellent problem solving and data modelling skills (logical physical semantic and integration models) including normalisation OLAP / OLTP principles and entity relationship analysisExperience of leading a team including architects and subject matter expertsExcellent communication and presentational skillsThe ability to work in a teamQualifications:7 years of experience in enterprise architecture or solution architectureExperience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF Zachman or similarKnowledge of security and compliance considerations in the payments or financial technology sector5 years of experience with Cloud data Solutions and LakehousesExperience with Open Lakehouse Data Mesh Data Fabric or similar conceptsAt Global Payments our vision is to be Champions of Inclusion.
