Within the USO, our administrative operations are primarily housed in the Trinity Washington Building located in downtown Atlanta. Our Information Technology Services (ITS) division is located in Athens. The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center (SSC) is located in Sandersville. The Georgia Public Library System is located in Atlanta. The Georgia Archives is located in Morrow. The State of Georgia Records Center is located in Austell.Location University System Office - 270 Washington Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30334Department Information OIACERM's mission is to support University System of Georgia (USG) management in meeting its governance, risk management, compliance, and internal control responsibilities while helping to improve organizational and operational effectiveness and efficiency.Job Summary The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Senior is a member of the Office of Internal Audit, Compliance, Ethics, and Risk Management (OIACERM) team. OIACERM's mission is to support University System of Georgia (USG) management in meeting its governance, risk management, compliance, and internal control responsibilities while helping to improve organizational and operational effectiveness and efficiency. The position plays a critical role in supporting the comprehensive identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that could impact the USO and USG institution's ability to achieve strategic and operational goals.The ERM Senior is responsible for providing day-to-day support and guidance to institutional ERM coordinators and facilitating the risk assessment process and collection of risk data and reports across all USG institutions. The ERM Senior reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for IT Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management.Responsibilities Assists the Associate Vice Chancellor of IT Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management in executing and advancing the system-wide ERM program by supporting risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and mitigation activities of the USO and USG institutions.Coordinates and manages day-to-day ERM framework and operations under direction from OIACERM leadership, ensuring alignment of the program with policies and procedures.Coordinate and manage the annual ERM calendar and assist institutional risk coordinators in completion and submission of required risk reporting.Partners with institutional and USO risk coordinators to support consistent application of risk management practices across the university system, and leading coordination when required.Facilitates risk management working groups and committees to address emerging risk issues, taking the lead roles on specific projects when assigned.Develops and maintains key risk indicators and system-wide reporting to support leadership at the USO, OIACERM, and the USG institutions with risk insights and actionable plans.Analyze risk data against key strategic priorities to assist in formulating recommendations on policy, processes, and mitigation strategies.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align risk efforts, share best practices, And provide ERM guidance.Prepare risk assessments reports and presentations for executive leadership and board members to assist OIACERM leadership communications.Lead ERM awareness and training initiatives to support a strong culture of risk management.Lead special ERM projects when assigned by OIACERM leadership.Monitor ERM processes and reporting and provide recommendations for improvements to OIACERM leadership.Assist with administration of OIACERM audit software to support USG institutional risk coordinators with reporting and entering risk data into the system.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with institutional risk coordinators, and USG leadership to promote a consistent and effective enterprise risk management program.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, public administration, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in a similar field.Must have at least three years of experience in enterprise risk management, or related activities.Excellent communication, organizational and critical thinking skills.Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.Understanding of ERM frameworks and its application to organizational operations and governance.Preferred Qualifications Masters degree.Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Enterprise Risk Manager (CERM), Enterprise Risk Management Certified Professional (ERMCP) Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).Proposed Salary The salary range for this position is $65,108 - $85,000 annually commensurate with experience.
