Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting environmental sampling and monitoring assisting with project coordination and contributing to client deliverables.This position is perfect for candidates with 2-4 years of experience in environmental engineering geology or related fields. This role offers exciting opportunities for growth and professional development while contributing to meaningful work that shapes a sustainable future.What youll bring to the team:Assist with the coordination of environmental and emergency response projects including tracking project scope schedules budgets and reporting under the guidance of senior team members.Support the preparation of technical correspondence reports work plans and cost estimates while performing data collection analysis and comparison to regulatory standards.Provide on-site assistance for environmental emergencies and fieldwork traveling as needed to meet client and project requirements.Maintain and prepare response equipment to ensure readiness for deployment.Conduct environmental sampling and monitoring for various media and contaminants following established protocols and under supervision.Collaborate with GHD subject matter experts to contribute to technically accurate project deliverables.Participate in business development activities including assisting with proposals and supporting efforts to expand client relationships.Support visibility initiatives by attending and contributing to regional seminars conferences or client events as a representative of GHD.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams contributing to effective communication and teamwork across GHDs service lines.Be available for afterhours response to attend environmental emergencies to perform field tasks throughout the USA. Must be willing to travel as needed to meet client requirements.Research design plan and perform engineering duties in the prevention control and remediation of environmental hazards using various engineering disciplines. Work may include waste treatment site remediation or pollution control technology.Responsibilities:Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools methods and formats. Involves working independently.Engineering Drawings: Create engineering drawings to support the communication evaluation and implementation of engineering solutions.Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.Health Safety and Environment: Follow the organizations health safety and environment (HSE) policies procedures and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them escalating serious issues as appropriate.Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users needs.Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
