Headquartered in Atlanta Georgia Novelis has approximately 13000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents.Responsibilities & QualificationsPosition OverviewThe Novelis Environmental team located in Bay Minette AL is seeking a EHS Environmental Intern. This role is responsible for assisting the Environmental team in implementing and maintaining programs that ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company sustainability goals. This role provides hands-on experience in environmental monitoring data analysis and project support within an industrial setting.ResponsibilitiesSupport environmental compliance programs related to air water and waste management. Assist in collecting analyzing and reporting environmental data (e.g. emissions wastewater hazardous waste). Assist in collecting routine samples across the facility.Participate in environmental audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance. Help develop and update environmental procedures training materials and documentation. Contribute to sustainability initiatives such as energy efficiency and waste reduction projects. Research environmental regulations and best practices to support continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on environmental projects and corrective actions.Minimum qualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering Chemical Engineering or Environmental Science related field.Basic knowledge of environmental regulations (EPA state/local requirements).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred qualificationsFamiliarity with environmental regulations.Experience with data analysis.Knowledge of environmental science conceptsSkilled in report writing.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.What We Offer:Novelis benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
