Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Environmental, Health & Safety ManagerLocation: Urbana, Ohio (On-site)Company: Johnson Welded Products – a Tramec CompanyMake an impact where it matters most — protecting people, improving processes, and driving a culture of safety and sustainability.About the RoleJohnson Welded Products is seeking a hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen our safety and environmental programs. In this role, you’ll be both a strategic partner and a visible floor presence — ensuring compliance, improving training and engagement, and empowering our people to work safely and sustainably every day.What You’ll DoLead and continuously improve EHS programs that reduce risk, enhance safety culture, and support business goals.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.), including reporting and documentation.Conduct facility assessments, hazard analyses, and root-cause investigations, and drive corrective actions.Develop, deliver, and track training for employees and leaders on all aspects of EHS.Prepare and manage ISO 14001 documentation and environmental reporting.Act as site liaison for external regulatory audits, inspections, and permits.Guide emergency response planning and lead investigations of incidents and near misses.Mentor, coach, and influence plant leaders and associates to take ownership of EHS performance.Requirements:What You Bring5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state environmental regulations.Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, engage teams, and drive accountability.Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or REM a plus.Experience with ISO 14001 and environmental reporting highly valued.Why You’ll Love Working HereWe take care of our people — and it shows.
