An exciting career awaits youAt MPC were committed to being a great place to work one that welcomes new ideas encourages diverse perspectives develops our people and fosters a collaborative team environment.POSITION SUMMARY:The candidate will work closely with environmental engineering and field operations staff to prepare permits and other plans related to the development of natural gas processing and compression facilities and to ensure compliance with all permit limitations and state and federal regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare all aspects of air quality permits to be submitted to state and federal agenciesCommunicate with regulatory agencies to ensure permits are issued in a timely manner being able to report progress to internal managementReview permit applications and final permits with environmental and operations personnel to assure applications are accurate and programs are in place to meet all permit conditionsCalculate excess emission events for reportingAssist corporate office in preparing aspects of the annual emission inventory program as related to blowdowns and simulation models for each facilityParticipate in local advocacy groupsParticipate in the audit program including participating in audits and responding to audit findingsReview and analyze data from performance tests and analysisStay current in applicable local state and federal ordinances rules and regulations.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors degree from four-year college or university in engineering or equivalent physical and natural sciences obtaining EIT or PE status a plus3 years experience working in the natural gas industry or related field pay commensurate with experienceKnowledge of environmental rules and regulations pertaining to the natural gas sectorMidstream Air permitting experience in at least one of New Mexico Ohio Oklahoma Pennsylvania Texas or West VirginiaExperience with common industry models such as HYSYS ProMax GRI-Glycalc or other simulation models a plusMust be able to critically analyze data to recognize patterns or deviations from normally acceptable resultsAbility to work well and communicate with variety of personnel from field operations to senior managers to regulatory authoritiesAbility to maintain schedule of projects and tasks to ensure deadlines are metMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide training sessions for field personnelBasic computer skill to include knowledge of Excel MS Word and Power PointMust be able to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential company informationCurrent drivers license required up to 25% travel.#GP #GPAAs an energy industry leader our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.Location:Canonsburg PennsylvaniaJob Requisition ID:Pay Min/Max:$104300.00 - $179800.00 SalaryGrade:11 - 12Location Address:4600 Jbarry Ct Ste 500Additional locations:Denver Colorado San Antonio TexasEducation:Employee Group:Full timeEmployee Subgroup:RegularMarathon Petroleum Company LP is an Equal Opportunity Employer and gives consideration for employment to qualified applicants without discrimination on the basis of race color religion creed sex gender (including pregnancy childbirth breastfeeding or related medical conditions) sexual orientation gender identity gender expression reproductive health decision-making age mental or physical disability medical condition or AIDS/HIV status ancestry national origin genetic information military veteran status marital status citizenship or any other status protected by applicable federal state or local laws.
