OverviewThis part-time position helps with basic daily care of the Kaysville Equine Assisted Services (EAS) horses. Responsibilities include feeding watering and simple barn chores as needed. The role is straightforward and focused on supporting the horses everyday needs. Training will be provided and no prior experience is requiredjust reliability and a willingness to help. The projected schedule is for this position to feed horses each evening seven days per week for approximately 1 1/2 hours per day (approximately 11 hours per week). This position could provide more hours based on Equine Assisted Services programming or additional horses added to the horse herd. Employees must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds for hay water buckets etc.) walking bending stooping kneeling and squatting. This position requires nearly continuous standing repetitive hand motions and reaching overhead. Employees may be exposed to unusual elements including extreme temperatures dust unpleasant odors hay and grain dust and/or loud noises.
