As an Equipment Coordinator with Southern States Material Handling, you will support the shop and branch by organizing materials and material-handling equipment, assisting with shipping and receiving, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized facility.

What You Need / Basic Qualifications:




  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)




  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail




  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment






Education and Certification Needed:




  • High school diploma required




  • 12 years of Shipping & Receiving experience preferred




  • Forklift experience a plus






What Youll Do:




  • Load and unload trucks, including material-handling equipment, attachments, parts, and racking systems




  • Receive incoming shipments and distribute paperwork




  • File and organize Bills of Lading




  • Review packing slips to ensure all items are received; follow up on missing items




  • Match shipments to purchase orders in the system and notify appropriate departments




  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and report issues; create damage claims and coordinate returns




  • Tag, label, and organize received inventory




  • Properly store stock and equipment orders




  • Unpack and distribute parts and packages to appropriate departments




  • Collaborate with procurement to track expected and overdue deliveries




  • Prepare and ship outgoing orders while maintaining accurate records




  • Assist with inventory control and tracking using iPads or tablets




  • Maintain accurate unit locations using designated tracking methods




  • Ensure chargers, batteries, and attachments remain charged and ready for use




  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the shop, warehouse, and yard in accordance with ASEC standards




  • Greet and assist vendors entering the facility




  • Order and maintain adequate shipping supplies




  • Perform miscellaneous duties as needed to support branch operations
