Be You.We hope youll consider joining our team.Position Summary:The Equipment Maintenance Tech Level 3 is able to work independently on moderately complex problems and applies Rx processes and procedures appropriately. This associate can look to higher level Rx technicians for assistance and guidance. This associate can add value to cross function teams or discussions.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Uses & operates powered industrial equipmentIdentifies and utilizes the proper hand tools Recognizes a pneumatic problem and escalatesUnderstands and follows Swageloks general housekeeping and safety practices and policies (Ex-fall protection confined space hot works permit general and specialized PPE LO/TO compressed gas Arc Flash etc.) and knows where to find themUtilizes basic shop mathHas an understanding of the lean toolboxDiagnoses a mechanical problem separate from processDiagnoses a Fluid Power Systems problem separate from processAble to recognize an Electric problem and escalatePerforms preventative maintenance per SOMsReads and interprets schematics and assembly drawings with limited assistanceProvides maintenance welding and soldering supportUses fabrication and machining equipment to construct components to support operations Leads shift start up meetingPromotes and supports the Reliability Excellence processHas an understanding of the lean toolbox (i.e. 5S CEDAC Standard Work etc.) Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Required: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of applicable maintenance experience.Technical degree is equivalent to 2 years experienceProficient use of Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) Ability to operate and successfully complete the Swagelok internal Powered Industrial Equipment trainingPreferred:Critical Competencies:Customer Focus Direct and assist others in getting required support work completed in a timely mannerFollows priorities as set by Supervisor or ManagerUnderstand the internal customers needs and initiate action to meet themMeeting customer needs is their driverReliability and Integrity Drives improvements and helps others make a positive impact on quality and plant metricsAlong with providing it themselves encourages others to provide reliable informationSupports organizational changes positively through actions and wordsFlexibilityWilling to be flexible in their scheduleShares knowledge that they have obtained with othersOpen to taking on new challengesCan easily be interrupted or redirected to a new task or site based on Swageloks needsHas useable ideas to help increase equipment reliabilityTeamwork Creates strong morale and spirit within the team by encouraging others and making them feel valued and importantParticipate in Shift Start up and departmental meetingsPromotes group reputation in a positive mannerCommunicationCommunicates well with all different levels in the organization (shop floor office engineering supervisors managers lean leaders etc.)Promotes own ideas and information with othersCommunicate through appropriate escalation channels when requiredReceives input from othersAccountabilityDrives team goals and resultsTakes ownership of the actions and results of the team as a wholeControl emotions and reactions according to the situation and the audienceProvides accurate and detailed documentation Provides feedback to Supervision Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.Lift push pull or carry weight no less than 35 lbs. however occasionally up to 50lbs lift push pull or carry. Must be capable of obtaining Respirator Certification through medical evaluation and fit testing.Must be capable of being on foot for up to 8-12 hours a day.
