Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionTorgeson Electric Company is seeking Operators and Laborers for site electrical installation including Site Lighting, Duct Banks, Primary/Secondary conduits, Street Lighting, Sports Lighting, Concrete Work, etc.Scope of WorkEquipment operators/site underground individuals are able to work on site projects installing conduit in trenches and underground. Some traveling required to job sites in northeast Kansas.PayBased on experience. $1500 signing bonus.Hours40 or more per weekTransportationTravel allowance provided, if requiredLodgingProvided if requiredReq. Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment, (fit to work physical) and drug testing.Other Reqs- Ability to effectively Communicate- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.- PPE required for all duties.Duties & TasksMust be comfortable with operating a mini excavator, skid steer and Digger DerekEnsure and manage the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way.Ensure locates are done and up to date prior to performing workPerform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.Perform minor repair works during functioning problemsInform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenancePerform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that the normal activities are not disrupted.Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic laws.Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performedReport to the Site SuperintendentOSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)Class A, CDL drivers license preferred but not required (reimbursement available upon completion)Operator card preferred but not requiredTorgeson Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
