Department:ICE MUSL TOSH Operating RoomDepartments Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Orthopedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH) UAMS Healths brand-new surgical hospital is looking for passionate teammates who are ready to join a team thats redefining quality care. The Surgical Services Equipment Technician (SSET) works collaboratively with the staff in the operating room to assist in the safe and timely flow of patients through the operating rooms. The SSET moves beds and equipment into and out of the operating rooms as needed and may on occasion be asked to assist with the transfer of patients to and from the operating table. The SSET must possess knowledge of specialized equipment used in the operating room to set up troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance. This person is accountable to the Service Managers and reports to the Director of Surgical Services. The Surgical Services Equipment Technician (SSET) works within the Department of Nursing standards. The SSET adheres to UAMS clinical programs policies procedures standards and guest care guidelines.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED PLUS two (2) years of experience in healthcareAbility to Follow Oral Instruction Read and Write.
