We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estate Probate and Administration Paralegal to support attorneys in all aspects of estate administration and fiduciary matters. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and is comfortable managing both transactional and administrative responsibilities related to estates and trusts.

Key Responsibilities

Probate & Estate Administration

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of probate and estate administration
  • Prepare and file probate petitions and court documents
  • Support the administration process, including:
    • Asset identification and valuation
    • Inventory preparation
    • Distribution documentation
  • Draft estate accountings and correspondence with beneficiaries
  • Assist with preparation of estate tax filings and supporting documentation

Fiduciary & Litigation Support

  • Assist with matters involving trusts, estates, and fiduciary disputes
  • Organize case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
  • Coordinate with courts and opposing counsel on filings and deadlines

Client & Case Management

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and requesting documentation
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements
  • Schedule client meetings, hearings, and attorney calendars

General Legal Support

  • Draft correspondence, legal memoranda, and internal documents
  • Perform legal research related to estate, trust, and probate matters
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all filings and documentation

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as an estate paralegal
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required
  • Strong understanding of estate planning and probate processes
  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania probate procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with estate tax filings and fiduciary accounting
  • Knowledge of Lackner software
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and staff
