Job Description

Overview: As an Estimator youll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our energy sector projects. Youll be responsible for delivering precise cost estimates that drive competitive profitable bidswhile upholding our commitment to safety quality and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Evaluation: Partner with project managers and engineers to analyze plans specifications and drawings identifying cost-driving elements and construction challenges.Detailed Cost Estimation: Use industry-standard tools (e.g. HeavyBid) to develop accurate estimates for labor materials equipment and subcontractor services.Bid Development: Craft comprehensive proposals with clear cost breakdowns timelines and supporting documentation for client submission.Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Source and negotiate competitive pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Identify estimation risks and propose mitigation strategies; explore value engineering options to optimize cost without compromising quality.Client Engagement: Present bids confidently to clients and stakeholders articulating our value proposition and competitive edge.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized records of estimates pricing data and historical benchmarks for future reference.Continuous Improvement: Stay current with market trends construction technologies and pricing strategies to enhance estimating accuracy.Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with project management engineering and procurement teams to ensure alignment from bid to build.Background in project management or field operations is a plus RequirementsQualificationsBachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)1-7 years of experience in construction estimating preferably in the energy sectorProficiency in HeavyBid and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical negotiation and communication skillsFamiliarity with construction contracts codes and industry standardsDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy safety and ethical practicesWillingness to travel to project sites as neededBackground in project management or field operations is a plus BenefitsBenefits401(k) with company matchComprehensive health dental and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysCareer development opportunitiesRequired Skills:Estimating Heavy CivilRequired Education:College Preferred Key Skills Bluebeam,Construction Estimating,Construction Experience,HeavyBid,Math,Sage,Pricing,Cost Control,Restoration,Roofing,Microsoft Excel,Auto Estimating Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 125000 - 125000
