Our tag line is,Skilled, Reliable and Trustworthy!Position OverviewWere seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate project bids and proposals for both divisions from small repairs to full home remodels. The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience, a sharp eye for detail, and strong communication skills with both clients and crews.Key ResponsibilitiesMeet with customers/representatives to understand a projects purpose, scope, and budgetWork with customers/representatives to create an overall improved project when possibleEvaluate leads, site photos, and notes to create accurate estimates and proposalsPerform detailed labor and material takeoffs using company rate sheets and templatesCollaborate with management to confirm scopes, margins, and pricing accuracyConduct site visits for measurements and condition verification as neededCommunicate clearly with customers regarding options, expectations, and pricingMaintain cost databases and estimating templates in Housecall Pro and BuildxactTrack accepted estimates, assist with scheduling, and monitor job profitabilityQualifications3+ years of experience in residential estimating, light commercial estimating, and project management or construction supervisionStrong understanding of framing, finish carpentry, and basic MEP systemsAbility to read plans and perform accurate material takeoffsExcellent communication and organizational skillsProficiency with Housecall Pro, Bluebeam Revu, or Buildxact preferredReliable transportation for site visits around CharlottesvilleCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base pay (commensurate with experience)Performance bonuses based on accuracy and sales volumeFlexible schedule with partial remote work optionsLong-term growth opportunities within both divisionsPaid Time off, Sick Leave, Holiday PayInsuranceRetirementWhy Work With UsThis is a long-term opportunity to grow with a respected Central Virginia construction company.
