Estimator Pipe Fabrication at Turner Industries

Turner Industries Group is looking for a Estimator to join our Estimating team at our Pipe Fabrication Facility in Port Allen LA. This position will be responsible for: Coordinating proposal documents specifications drawings and related informationGenerating material and labor take off based on client drawings specifications and/or bills of quantityComputing pricing based on developed take-offs and client data; develops technical and commercial responses to include in proposals in conjunction with QA/QC and contracts departmentContinuing coordination efforts with projects and/or sales groups until project is awarded; Acting as a liaison with Contracts department regarding relevant bid/award documentation; Attending kick-off meetings internally and with client if necessary for awarded projects;Performing additional assignments as required; Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times. Qualifications: Preferably 2 years of experience or equivalent combinations of experience training and/or education in specified skillExcellent analytical and technical skills required in facilitating the execution of projects based on preliminary information onlyMust possess excellent communication interpersonal organizational skillsMust be self-directed and detail orientedProficient in MS ExcelPost-offer drug/alcohol screenPersonal Protective Equipment (hearing protection safety glasses long sleeve shirt gloves steel toe boots etc.) required when in shop/yard areas.
