Estimator at Synerfac Technical Staffing

A commercial painting and coatings company is looking for a strong estimator to join the team in Raleigh or Denver. This is a great fit for someone who can hit the ground running, run their own takeoffs, and manage a solid bid pipeline without a lot of hand-holding. Commercial coatings background is the target, but a candidate coming from residential with the right skills will be considered. Estimator Responsibilities - Produce detailed cost estimates for painting and coatings projects based on plans, specs, and site conditions - Perform accurate takeoffs independently from construction documents and blueprints - Conduct site visits as needed, typically a few times per month, to assess scope and conditions - Stay engaged with active projects to identify additional service opportunities and support account growth - Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients throughout the project lifecycle - Manage a bid pipeline with an expectation of awarding or winning $6M or more in projects annually Estimator Requirements: - 1+ year of experience estimating in the painting or coatings industry, commercial or industrial strongly preferred, but residential could be considered - Demonstrated ability to perform takeoffs and read construction documents without significant oversight - Ability and interest in developing customer relationships to earn new business - Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
