Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDIRECT HIRE: An awesome opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector III to join a dynamic team in the Manchester, CT. area. Join a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components, founded on a commitment to relentless, continuous, operational improvement and extraordinary customer service.Salary Range: $29hr - $40hrSchedule: M - F, 7am - 4:30pmBenefits: Health, dental, life insurance, PTO, holidaysRole & Responsibilities: Ensures the training of all Dimensional InspectorsLocate the datums and other gaging points on the casting’s forgings and all componentsMark the guidelines and reference points to indicate the material to be removed manually and by machining or etching processesCheck all work by mechanical and electronic inspection methods on the production parts, sub-assemblies, details or components as production progresses to determine accuracy and completeness of layouts and correctness of machining or other processingResponsible for writing the rework procedures when the parts are non-conformingPerform shop floor, in-process or machine inspection on such machines as vertical boring mills, radial drills, lasers machines, water jet and lathesPerform bench inspection of machined rings, spinning, forgings, castings, sub-assemblies and assembliesPerform visual and dimensional inspection of weld prior to fluorescent penetrant testingResponsible for writing the rework procedure when the parts are non-conformingRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma5 years related experienceMust have full working knowledge in the use of inspection tools and gages, such as scribes, vernier calipers, height gages, depth gages, micrometers, cylindrical plugs and thread gages, periphery or PI tapes, decimal scales, indicators, inspection fixtures, coordinate measuring machine and other automated measuring devicesMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basisMust be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulationsPreferred Qualifications: Knowledgeable in the use of “V” blocks, jo-blocks, knees, planer and thread gagesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and blueprintsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before employees in the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsHave the ability to use shop geometry and trigonometryAble to lay out the work to exacting tolerances and be capable of 100% dimensional inspection of complex components and sub-assembliesPhysical Requirements:Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective EquipmentMust be able to frequently sit, stand and walkMust be able to lift and carry up to 15 poundsPhysical Requirements:Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective EquipmentMust be able to frequently sit, stand and walkMust be able to lift and carry up to 15 poundsOnce you apply, please text "QI3" to 904-712-6140 for a faster reply.
