By providing a high level of benefit coverage at a reasonable cost to the employee we hope to foster a long and productive employment relationship.Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to analyze blueprints specifications proposals and other documentation to prepare estimates for products projects or services by performing the following duties.Essential Functions and Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes blueprints specifications proposals and other documentation to prepare time cost and estimates for products or projectsReview architectural plans and specifications for the work to be quotedCheck and verify with the application engineer the performance and structural requirements of the project if necessaryPrepare the necessary material take-offs by quantities and type for proper pricingPrepare the Scope of Work to be sent to the customers with quotationObtain vendor(s) quotations for items not made by YKKPrepare the estimate for the work to be bid using cost data and/or price listComputes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning organizing and scheduling work preparing bids selecting vendors or subcontractors and determining cost effectivenessProvides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costsIdentifies cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement effortsQualifications and Skill RequirementsAssociates degree (A.
