POSITION SUMMARY:

The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of events held at Mole Lake Casino Lodge & Event Center. This role works cross-functionally with all departments and the Event Center team to deliver seamless, professional event execution aligned with casino policies and service standards.

The Event Coordinator plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by ensuring clear communication, accurate documentation, operational readiness, and seamless event execution from initial setup through post-event breakdown. This position supports revenue generation, guest satisfaction, and repeat business by maintaining high standards of service, organization, and teamwork.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate daily event operations, including pre-event planning, on-site execution, and post-event breakdown
Work collaboratively with Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments to ensure events are properly staffed, set up, and supported.
Assist with room setups, equipment placement, décor, and event transitions to ensure timelines and guest expectations are met.
Serve as a point of contact for guests and internal teams during events.
Ensure all guest communications, event details, and service expectations are clearly understood and executed.
Address and resolve guest or team member concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with event documentation, including contracts, invoices, billing, and post-event reconciliation.
Maintain accurate records related to event budgets, purchasing, and invoicing.
Support inventory tracking for event-related supplies and equipment.
Lead by example by promoting a professional, positive, and guest-focused work environment.
Support Event Center Staff/Team with daily operations and event execution.
Encourage teamwork, accountability, and adherence to casino service standards.
Assist with event-related maintenance coordination, cleanliness, and room readiness.
Ensure event spaces meet safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards before, during, and after events.
Perform additional duties, as assigned to support Event Center operations.

Always maintain professional appearance and proper personal hygiene.

SGC Gaming License/ID must be worn and visible at all times while on duty.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to obtain a bartender's license within 30 days of hire.
Physically able to perform all aspects of the position; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Possess professional organizational, written, and communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Previous experience in event coordination, hospitality, and guest services preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule - nights, weekends, and holidays.

UPON HIRE:

Two forms of ID are required, one of which must be a valid photo ID.
Successfully pass a background investigation and obtain a valid SGC gaming license.
Pass required drug and alcohol screening in accordance with SGEC Drug & Alcohol Policy.
Pass a Title 31 compliance test within 30 days of hire.
Successfully complete a 60-day probationary period.
Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
