JOB DESCRIPTION
- Supervise and coordinate event security personnel before, during, and after events.
- Conduct pre-event security briefings and assign staff to designated posts and responsibilities.
- Monitor venue entrances, exits, crowd flow, restricted areas, and emergency access points.
- Ensure compliance with venue policies, client requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and security concerns.
- Coordinate with venue management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and event organizers as needed.
- Prepare and submit incident reports, shift reports, and other required documentation.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action when necessary.
- Oversee bag checks, credential verification, access control procedures, and crowd management operations.
- Identify potential security risks and implement proactive mitigation measures.
- Ensure all security equipment and communication devices are functioning properly.
- Support emergency evacuation procedures and crisis response plans.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive interaction with guests while enforcing policies consistently.
- Minimum of 3 years of security experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Strong understanding of crowd management, access control, and incident response procedures.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on event schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in preparing reports and using basic computer applications.
- Fire Guard certification (F-03, F-04).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to patrol large venues and navigate stairs and uneven surfaces.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to visually observe and assess security conditions across event spaces.

Compensation details: 28-35 Hourly Wage
