We believe that together we can create a brighter more sustainable future while tackling the most pressing challenges of the 21st century.Department Overview We are looking for a dynamic Events and Marketing Intern to join our world class team focused on marketing one of todays most exciting this role you will collaborate with marketing peers and cross-functional leads to drive broad-based campaign strategies that expand brand visibility and advance critical business line objectives. Reporting to theDirector Revenue Generation youll be part of our exciting internship program providing hands-on real-world work experience and planned activities as a cohort culminating in the end of summer intern showcase. Our team is highly collaborative and moves fast on executing new campaigns and ideas. We work hard but like to have a good time and hope you share those values!Position ResponsibilitiesEventsSupporting internal and external virtual and in-person events during your internship as well planning for Q3 and Q4 event programs including but not limited to:Tracking multiple project deliverables and timelinesManaging registration and lead listsData and analytics entryResearching new vendorsUpdating run of show documentsMaintain internal and external event calendarPrepare event recaps and analytics for internal reportingWrite and develop event content for social media blog posts and websiteAssist with the development of event branding and signageWork on large-scale sponsorship and event programs such as the Stars & Stride Run and the San Jose SharksMarketingResearch timely news to support the development of new marketing campaigns and contentWork cross functionally with various teams within the organization as well as various parts of the marketing team including content communications branding design Communicate and promote new content being published both internally and externallyFoster employee engagement social media initiativesBuild event marketing plans including internal promotion of participation and external social media promotional plans Develop and maintain trade publication database plus analyze previous content campaigns Support aspects of announcements and launches including digital media promotion materials development and coverage analysis and reportingCreate compelling content and use social media content for the companys social channels and use social media as tools to amplify brand awarenessA focused initiative to build an event marketing plan involving:Templatizing plans for various pre/during/post event communications through various channels (internal social media etc.) to increasing presence and share of voiceDesigning a social media toolkit with customizable speaker promotion graphics Outlining pre-event brand awareness strategies to increase meeting requests and booth visits Building comprehensive timelines to facilitate cross-functional planningAnalyzing post-event lead generations elements to determine success measurementsMinimum QualificationsMust be currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree in marketing events business or a related fieldMust be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027Desired Skills & Experience Proven interest in marketing events and communicationsAbility to juggle multiple priorities at onceDemonstrated teamwork skills but able to work independently as wellPassionate storyteller with a strong brand sensibility; enjoys finding ways to disseminate content through various multimedia formats (web email social)Clear effective communicatorverbally and in writing.
