Job Description Summary:The role ensures the successful execution of national-level strategic events that support BCBSA's mission and system-wide initiatives. The position manages the logistics, timelines, and stakeholder coordination necessary to deliver high-impact conferences and meetings. The role collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure events reflect organizational priorities and meet operational standards.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage the full lifecycle of national conferences and events, including project planning, financial tracking, and stakeholder coordinationOversee speaker engagement, including scheduling, portal maintenance, webinar facilitation, and onsite preparationComplete program close-out tasks, integrate sponsorships, maintain databases, and coordinate with internal partners.Research industry trends and best practices to inform event procedures and recommendationsEnsure event planning aligns with BCBSA policies and protocolsThe posting range for this position is:$92,326.00-$129,677.93Required Education, Certifications and Experience:Education:Preferred Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceExperience:Required 5+ Years In a project management role overseeing large and/or complex meetings and conferencesKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)Experience using Cvent or similar platforms for speaker managementAbility to learn and adapt to new software applications quicklyStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to pivot and adapt to changing circumstancesEffective communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and within teamsStrategic decision-making under pressureCritical thinking and problem-solving capabilitiesComfort making informed recommendations to leadershipCertifications & Licenses:Preferred: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI or Certified Meeting Professional - CMPAdditional Preferred Experience:Five or more years' in a meeting management role overseeing large and/or complex meetings and conferencesExperience with project management to include budget oversight.Deep experience with speaker management.Established relationships in the meetings industry with strong knowledge of first tier cities in the US.Experience managing stakeholder expectations at all levelsPreferred: Knowledge of virtual and hybrid meeting formatsPreferred: Familiarity with healthcare industry#LI_HYBRIDThe posted salary range is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the hiring range and this hiring range may also be modified in the future.
