Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: TheExcavatorOperator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, and other materials on construction sites. This role requires precision, safety awareness, and adherence to project specifications and timelines.**This position will be supporting commercial and federal construction projects in the peninsula area of Hampton Roads**Key ResponsibilitiesOperateexcavators and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.Perform excavation tasks such as digging trenches, foundations, and site grading.Load and unload materials usingexcavatorattachments.Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure proper functioning.Follow safety protocols and comply with all site regulations.Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members.Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Proven experience as anexcavatoroperator or similar role.Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification.Knowledge of excavation techniques and soil types.Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions.Strong attention to detail and safety.Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
