Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: The Point is hiring an Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor. This position is responsible for assisting in a setting that requires the ability to handle a range of tasks under pressure in a dynamic environment. For additional questions, please visit our website atThe Point.QUALIFICATIONSExecutive assistant experience in a professional environment is requiredPrior executive assistant with church experience highly desirableProficient with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office productsProfessional experience exercising excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the use of social mediaKnowledge of administrative principles and best practicesMust have a proven track record of being able to coordinate with high-capacity leaders and guests, exercising a high-level of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and relational strengthsDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide sophisticated calendar management for the Senior PastorServe as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Senior PastorAnticipate and be proactive with what the Senior Pastor requires to be properly prepared for leadership activities and responsibilitiesWork closely with the Senior Pastor to keep him well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriatelyProvide a "gateway" role, providing a bridge for smooth communication between the Senior Staff and constituenciesManage large projects and provide supporting research to the Senior PastorComplete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the Senior Pastor's ability to effectively lead the organizationProvide executive-level support for the Senior Pastor, including general and administrative dutiesRepresent The Point to external organizations, churches, and vendorsHost guests as neededDemonstrate proactive care and concern and anticipate needs for those they work closely withBring care and/or staff needs to the Senior PastorOther duties as assignedATTRIBUTES OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATEHigh Emotional Intelligence, spiritual maturity, and resilienceCompetent, task and detail-oriented individual with the propensity for process improvement and "getting the job done"Adjusts very quickly to changes without getting overwhelmedThrives in a fast-paced, ambitious, discrete, and high-accountability work environmentPlans and organizes in advanceMakes sound, critical decisions under pressureAble to self-evaluate, seek and respond to constructive feedback, and maintain self-awarenessComfortable providing respectful, thoughtful, and timely feedback to team members, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement in church operationsIs relationally warm, nurturing, and encouraging to staff, leaders, and volunteersProven trustworthiness in character by demonstrating strict confidentiality and integrityUnderstands the relational complexity of church leadershipMust be flexible and ready to work outside of regular work hours as necessaryEMPLOYMENT STATUSFull-Time, SalariedSunday Thursday, or as requiredWORK LOCATIONCharlottesville, VA (or surrounding area)
