Wellness Coordinator Life Enrichment & WellnessFull-Time 35 Hours/Week Typically 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (Flexible)Well-Spring a premier Life Plan Community in Greensboro NC is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to support the physical emotional and social well-being of our residents through engaging fitness aquatics and wellness programming. If you are passionate about serving older adults and enjoy leading meaningful wellness experiences wed love to meet you.About the RoleThe Wellness Coordinator plays a key role in our Life Enrichment Wellness department by leading group fitness classes assisting in the pool and fitness center promoting active lifestyles and supporting resident-centered wellness initiatives. This position is 35 hours per week typically 10 a.m.5 p.m. with some flexibility based on class and event needs.What Youll DoLead group fitness classes on land and in the pool including water aerobics strength/toning stretching and arthritis aquaticsServe as a lifeguard and provide safe supportive assistance for residents entering/exiting the pool or using fitness equipmentMaintain and help monitor exercise and aquatic equipment reporting needs or concerns as they ariseOrient residents and team members to equipment and facility useSupport special wellness events including Senior Olympics team member/resident games water volleyball and collaborative Life Enrichment programsImplement team member wellness programs and assist with resident wellness surveysTrack class participation and support monthly fitness/aquatic communicationCoordinate with Physical Therapy and other departments as neededProvide exceptional customer service while upholding Resident Rights confidentiality and Well-Spring policiesFollow all safety compliance and infection control guidelinesQualificationsYoull be a great fit if you have one of the following:SilverSneakers Golden Hearts other senior-fitness certification or prior experience working with older adults in a wellness/fitness settingORGroup exercise certification (AFAA ACE etc.)ORCertified Personal Trainer certificateAdditional requirements:Current CPR certificationAbility to swim and act as a lifeguard (training available if needed)Prior experience teaching fitness or wellness classesBasic knowledge of gym equipment and safe exercise practicesExcellent communication and customer-service skillsValid NC drivers license (age 25) with ability to drive a 14-passenger bus or company vehicleWhat We OfferA supportive resident-focused team environmentCompetitive payBeautiful well-maintained wellness facilities (fitness center warm-water pool group exercise spaces)Paid time off and access to development and continuing educationOpportunity to make a daily impact on the health strength and joy of older adultsRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Typing,Athenahealth,Assisted Living,Computer Skills,Microsoft Publisher,Triage,Health Coaching,Workers' Compensation Law,Case Management,Benefits Administration,Memory Care,Word Processing Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
