We are seeking an Executive Medical Director to join our Hematology team, providing overall clinical scientific leadership for our cell therapy program. In this role, you will shape clinical development strategy and drive execution of clinical trials while collaborating closely with the Global Program Head, Research, Early Clinical Development, Global Medical Affairs, Marketing, and HEOR. You'll serve as a clinical role model, bringing outstanding scientific knowledge to hematology research and leading a team of MDs and clinical scientists, reporting directly to the VP, Therapeutic Area Lead, Hematology.This position offers the opportunity to provide clinical scientific leadership on a fast-growing, science-driven cell therapy program making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.When & where:Location: Tarrytown, NY or Warren, NJTravel percentage: 10%, to relevant conferences/congressesDiscover your role:Acts as medical expert and leader with external collaborators (regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups) and internal partners across Research, Global Medical Affairs, and MarketingBuilds and defends data-driven clinical strategies with scientific rigor and creative problem-solving, both internally and with external partnersDesigns innovative First-in-Human and Phase 2/3 programs that are smaller yet robust, shortening development timelines amid an evolving regulatory landscapeDrives consensus across multi-disciplinary, matrixed clinical teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentPartners closely with the Global Program Head to define the optimal development strategy for the cell therapy portfolioLeads and develops a team of MDs and clinical scientists to meet personal and business goalsServes as a clinical role model, bringing scientific rigor and creative thinking to hematology clinical researchThis role requires:MD or equivalent required; MD/PhD strongly preferred, with fellowship training in Hematology or Oncology preferred6-8 years of industry experience in related therapeutic area clinical development; cell therapy drug development experience preferredDemonstrated track record across leadership roles, including work with senior clinical development staff and established credibility with external collaborators such as opinion leaders and regulatorsSubstantial drug development experience, including both IND and BLA/NDA submissionsExperience leading study start-up and execution, including data cleaning, medical review, database locks, and health authority responsesPeople management experience is a plus#MDJOBS, #MDJOBSCD, #GDTherapeuticJobsDoes this sound like you?
