Experienced Medical Biller- AR Specialist at Expert Revenue Consultants

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our Medical Billing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance billing processes, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and insurance companies. Duties • Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accurate billing. • Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and resolving discrepancies. • Perform medical collections by contacting patients regarding outstanding balances. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and coding guidelines, including DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) systems. • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in medical records or billing information. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information. Skills • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding practices, and billing procedures. • Familiarity with ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG, and other relevant coding systems. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. • Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Knowledge of Workers Compensation and No-Fault guidelines required. • Minimum 2 years of experience.
