Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Kitchen Team Member Job DescriptionPosition Overview:As part of the Kitchen Team, you will be an integral part of the guest experience, through the creation of healthy and delicious food.We encourage our kitchen team to be well-rounded team players, willing to get their hands dirty and do whatever it takes to keep your store running smoothly. No matter what position you start in with us, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained and will be tasked to take on different positions (depending on interest, skill level and experience) within our team. You may be asked to work at other store locations on occasion. You will be given notice and reimbursed the time and mileage to the location (from home store to other location).Responsibilities:Kitchen Team Member responsibilities include and are not limited to:Ensure all food meets food safety and quality standards on the front line.Prep all cold and hot items according to recipe and direction of Kitchen ManagerFollow proper knife safetyAble to lift at least 35 pounds comfortablyLearn recipes and maintain knowledge of all menu itemsMaintain a clean and safe work environment for team members and customersEnsure freshness and quality of prepared foodFollow Jan’s safety and rules regulationsFollow customer service guidelinesFollow the company’s security and safety proceduresArriving for the start of shift ready to work on time and staying until all duties are completeFollow direction and instructionsComply with company standardsMaintain a positive attitude and ability to work as a teamCommunicate with team members in a constructive mannerSmoothie & Kitchen Line – Follow recipes and use the correct serving equipment to ensure correct portions.Requirements:Proven experience in food preparation and service within a restaurant environment.Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations.Culinary experience with a focus on cooking and meal preparation.Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.Previous catering experience is a plus .Ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and maintain high standards of food quality.
