Experienced Dispatcher-1st Shift at Caruso USA

Caruso is a family owned 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat and pre-cut produce sandwiches salads and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA.We are looking for an experienced Dispatcher to work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with occasional weekend work.Job Summary:The Dispatcher will work with Drivers to plan and assign delivery routes.Duties/Responsibilities:Plan and assign drivers to delivery routesCreates and communicates work schedules to driversCommunicate effectively with customers and vendorsSchedule delivery appointmentsUnderstand processes and procedures and provide training and guidance to driversSchedule Preventative Maintenance inspections and washes for trucks and trailersWork with manager and HR on driver corrective actionWork with internal departmentsServe as first point of escalation for drivers when issues ariseFamiliar with ELD technology (Samsara a plus)Enter data into Transportation Management SystemProficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel Outlook etc.)A CDL Class A license is a plus but not requiredRequired Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliar with ELD technology (Samsara a plus)Enter data into Transportation Management SystemProficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel Outlook etc.)A CDL Class A license is a plus but not requiredExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareAbility to act with integrity professionalism and confidentialityMust have 5 years of Dispatch/Customer Service experienceRequired Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Typing,Data Entry,Customer Service,AS400,Transportation Management Systems,Computer Skills,Paratransit,Microsoft Outlook,Computer Literacy,Dispatching,Logistics,Phone Etiquette Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
