Experienced Estimating & Pricing SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Estimating & Pricing Specialist to join our team in Seal Beach CA. This role gives a candidate the opportunity to apply their parts and fabrication estimating expertise while also developing data analysis and integration skills.Boeing Finance Shared Services has a broad portfolio of programs and customers both domestic and international. As a member of the Estimating team supporting Boeing Global Services (BGS) the successful candidate will support internal and external pricing and proposal activity gaining broader experience and visibility.The ideal candidate will have the ability to proactively apply problem solving skills and work well independently and as part of a team. They will have the ability to learn new systems & tools estimating techniques and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment.Position Responsibilities:Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design build and aftermarket support stages of the programDevelops prepares and validates estimates and pricesEvaluates requests for proposals substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposalsDevelops estimating and pricing methodsEvaluates and develops business casesPerforms analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk financial competitive etc.)Develops and maintains pricing modelsIncorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirementsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or higher3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite3 years of experience in Estimating and PricingExperience working on government proposals to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposalsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience coordinating with external customers and across multiple functions including Finance Supplier Management and technical disciplinesExperience demonstrating analytical or estimating capabilitiesExperience with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time qualityDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
