As a Software Engineer on the JBlocks team, you’ll help develop and enhance capabilities that expand data labeling and classification functionality within secure enterprise environments. You’ll contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, designing, coding, and testing modern Java-based solutions that support compliance and performance goals. Meade, MD areaSchedule: 40 hours per week, normal day shiftHere's What Your Day-to-Day Might IncludeDesign, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting JBlocks and data labeling initiativesParticipate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, testing, and documentationImplement unit and integration tests to validate system functionalityTroubleshoot and resolve software issues in containerized environmentsUtilize GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy applicationsUse Docker to create, manage, and test containers for existing and new capabilitiesWork collaboratively with developers and system engineers to ensure performance and security complianceProvide input into architecture design and continuous improvement effortsMinimum QualificationsClearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline plus three (3) years of software engineering experienceOR seven (7) years of experience in lieu of a degreeRequired SkillsProficiency in Java developmentUnderstanding of unit and integration testing practicesFamiliarity with PKI and RESTful servicesExperience debugging code within an IDE in containerized environmentsProficiency with Linux command line and development toolsExperience with GitLab CI/CD and build pipelinesHands-on experience with Docker for application containerizationAbility to evaluate and reproduce user issues within development environmentsDesired SkillsExperience developing and testing within the eVo environment and familiarity with associated tools (e.g., GreyBox)Knowledge of EDH1/2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI standardsExperience maintaining application security and compliance documentationStrong written communication skills and ability to produce technical documentation (wiki sites, XML, HTML)Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritiesExperience reviewing and testing software components for design adherence and performance validationCompensation Range: $111,000.00 - $147,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
